Give design feedback that moves the work forward.

A shared goal, a real task, and specific observations make a review easier to act on.

A design review is a chance to make decisions together. It becomes harder when every comment is a general opinion about how the screen feels. A clear review connects the design to the people using it, the task in front of them, and the outcome the project needs.

Agree what is being reviewed

Clarify the stage of the work before collecting comments. An early wireframe may be exploring structure, while a later interface review may be about hierarchy and detail. Say which decisions are open and which have already been agreed. This gives people a useful frame for their feedback.

Follow a realistic task

Choose something a visitor or user needs to do. Start at the point where they would normally enter and follow the steps through to completion. Ask what information they need at each point, what action appears most obvious, and what they would expect to happen next. This reveals more than an isolated screenshot.

Describe the observation before the solution

Instead of asking for a bigger button immediately, explain what prompted the request. Perhaps the primary action is hard to distinguish from a secondary link. That observation leaves room to consider several solutions. It also helps the designer understand the issue that needs to be resolved.

Connect competing comments to a priority

Some feedback will pull in different directions. One person may want more detail while another wants a shorter page. Return to the audience and the decision the page supports. Identify which information is essential at that moment and which can appear later. Record the reason for the choice so the discussion does not restart at the next review.

Finish with decisions and open questions

Summarise what will change, what will stay, and what still needs an answer. Assign the questions that depend on content, policy, or business input. Keep a short record alongside the work. The next preview should make it easy to see how the agreed feedback has been addressed.
